About
Desk gear, built by a developer.
ThirteenK started with a simple problem: most desk and tech accessories either look right or work right, rarely both. So I started fixing that.
I'm a developer in Cape Town. Like a lot of people who spend their day at a desk, I cared about how that desk worked — cables that stayed put, a stand that held the laptop at the right height, a hub that did its job without falling out. I kept buying gear that was either ugly or flimsy, and I got tired of compromising. ThirteenK is what I built instead.
Here's the honest part: not everything in the store is made by us, and we won't pretend otherwise. Some products we curate — we source proven accessories from suppliers, test them on our own desks, and only stock the ones we'd actually use. Cables, hubs, chargers, stands, the practical stuff that just needs to work. If it didn't earn its place, it's not here.
The rest we make ourselves. The 13K Binary line is 3D-printed in matte black PLA+ — modular cable organisers, phone stands, headphone stands, enclosures. Each piece carries the embossed 13K symbol and is printed to order, so it's tuned and dialled in rather than churned out of a mould. Alongside that, the 13K Laser line is laser-engraved — nameplates, coasters, cable pouches and display pieces cut and marked in-house. Making our own line means we control the finish, the materials and the detail, and we can do small runs and one-offs that a big supplier never would.
That mix — curate the proven, manufacture the distinctive — is the whole idea. Buy the gear that should just work from people who already do it well; build the things we couldn't find anywhere else.
ThirteenK is part of Tredicik Group (Pty) Ltd, the company behind the brand. Same standard, smaller focus: a tight, design-led store for the people who actually use this stuff — developers, makers, remote workers and anyone who takes their setup seriously.
